How to Ask Tarot About Love and Feelings

Author: Boris Stromov

Feelings are a state, not a lifetime contract

I do not believe a reading about emotions is inherently more prone to distortion than other readings. Yet emotions have an important characteristic: they change. Today someone may feel affection and want to be close; tomorrow, after an argument, they may feel angry, exhausted, or in need of space. The same is true of our own feelings.

That is why I treat an answer about feelings as a view of a particular moment and its circumstances. It does not have to define someone's attitude forever. Few people maintain exactly the same emotional state for very long.

Separate feelings, intentions and actions

“What does he feel?”, “What does he want?”, and “What is he likely to do?” are different questions. Someone can feel strongly attracted to another person without intending to start a relationship. They can want reconciliation but be afraid to make the first move. They can even act out of habit after their emotions have changed.

Choose the layer you actually need. Ask about feelings if you want to understand the emotional atmosphere; about intentions and likely actions if you want to explore practical prospects; and about your own choices if you need to decide how to proceed.

Avoid promises of forever

“Will he always love me?” and “Will these feelings never change?” impose an excessively rigid framework. People argue, reconcile, grow older, reconsider their needs, and change the direction of their lives.

A more useful question refers to the present or a defined period: “What does he feel after our conversation?” or “How might our communication change in the near future?” This connects the reading with reality instead of searching for an unchanging verdict.
